I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
"Tommy" depicts a WW1 soldier wading through a field of poppies in France some time during the 1914 - 1918 Great War. I was inspired to paint this when I was told by a visitor to my stand at an art show that 2011 was the Royal British Legion's 90th Anniversary. I decided that in keeping with the British Legion's anniversary and John McCrae's famous poem "In Flanders Fields" that inspired the poppy as a symbol of remembrance, a WW1 soldier would b...
About Richard Harpum
Award-winning artist, Richard Harpum, paints in a realist style, paying meticulous attention to detail. His medium of choice is acrylics on canvas or board but he also uses oils and paints watercolour florals. The effective use of light is a key ingredient to all of Richards works and he spends a great deal of time before starting a painting in selecting a composition that provides both drama and contrast. Born in Bromley, England, in 1951, Richard has had a passion for drawing and painting from a very young age. As a youngster, he was always drawing and became a prolific painter after he received an...
